Don't let my ridiculous over dramatization fool you: the menu is truly epic. Think vegan Filet Mignon (above). Consider for a moment, vegan Chickn and Waffles. Ponder pensively about the reality of spicy buffalo chiggin chunks. The new Wayward menu is part 1960's retro Americana favorites (stroganoff in my belly), part diner staples (pancakes all day friends), and part modern pub food (deep fried artichokes anyone?).
You'll find no other place in the NW serving quite this array and quality of diner goodness. I had the Filet Mignon and was totally blown away by how it just melted with juiciness. And it was served with au jus AND spicy horseradish sauce (faint!).
My stomach isn't big enough to try everything (yet), but the BBQ Bacon Burger looked as incredible as it sounds: burger with friend onions, BBQ sauce, and cheddar cheeze on a huge kaiser bun (above). The Steak Dip sandwich, with au jus and served with cauliflower mac n cheeze and sweet potato fries = a magical meal for two that I can't wait to try.
They have lots of new sides too - in addition to the aforementioned cauliflower mac n cheeze, Wayward is is also serving grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables with their new dinner dishes. And amazing appetizers. And salads. And breakfast burritos. And Ribz. And a traditional burger. And Salisbury Steak. And Korean Bulgogi! Oh, did I mention the pie? Yes, PIE.
Seriously Seattle. As if we weren't spoiled enough, Wayward has made our lives a living vegan heaven. I can't wait to get back to try the mozzarella wedges. And of course the people are radical. If you go, take me with you.

ReplyDelete~Wayward
I could cry because Wayward is so delicious. Like, why can't I live under one of their tables and make money by doing so and then spend all the money eating Wayward food?
ReplyDeleteGreat photos- love the review. Ive been meaning to get out to Wayward for some time now- now, Ill have to go!
ReplyDeleteFYI: The mozzarella wedges are the best things in the world.
ReplyDeleteI Must go! I haven't actually ever been for dinner. Just brunch. Their biscuits and gravy haunt my dreams. That pie looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe artichokes are sooooo good! I also tried the ribz which were amaaaazing and ginormous. I can eat more than literally anyone I know and I was still able to make two sandwiches with the leftovers.
