An Ocean of Vegan Pizza

It is like Seattle has turned into a sea of amazing vegan pizza options. And I don't mean a small sea, like the Caspian, but one of the big ones, like the Indian Ocean. Proof: in addition to the all-vegan (and most amazing)Pizza Pi in the U-district, Turnpike Pizza in Green Lake, Juliano's in Ballard, and zpizza on Capitol Hill, we now have RAZZi'S PIZZARiA in Greenwood.

I had read that there was a pizza joint in Greenwood with vegan cheese and gluten-free crust, but I had no idea RAZZi'S would turn out to be such a vegan haven. They have an entirely vegetarian menu with the items that can be ordered vegan clearly marked. The atmosphere is old timey pizzeria, not fast food, and the service was really mellow and cool. I can't think of a single bad thing about this place - it is so lovely.

Razzi's not only has vegan cheese, but they also have created a vegan eggplant parmesan, calzones, and amazing vegan desserts. We ordered salads, three pizzas, but for me the best thing was the Vegan Fettuccine Alfredo. You read this correctly: Vegan FettuccineAlfredo. Really, incredible.

So get on your bike and ride! And take a cute vegan as a date. You won't regret it.

  1. We have a place in Burien (10 mins south of Seattle) called Bison Creek Pizza that now carries soy cheese, and does a whole wheat or even gluten free crust. Total must try.

  4. OH, I can't wait to check out Bison Creek and add it to the list. I'll have to call and find out what brand to make sure it is vegan!

    Anca: was that your BF on the bike yesterday?

    Christine: most of us were omni at one point, so it only makes sense to be patient and a good role model. My BF was vegan when we met and I went vegan after a year, even tho' he never suggested it. :)

  5. I'm all about Zaw. They use seasonal, local, organic ingredients and DAIYA. You gotta bake it yourself but they deliver.

    Also missing from your list - Stacia's. They have vegan cheese and tofu.

  6. I had no idea about Stacia's. Thanks Faith! Any good? Is there a Zaw up in Greenwood or do they deliver all the way from Cap Hill? I should give them another try, first time was a bust.
